Surface deodorizing sprays only mask the smell temporarily, while immersion actually flushes the odor-causing particles out of the rug. Deeply saturated rugs may need evaluation, and we'll tell you honestly what results to expect.
Why shouldn't I vacuum or scrub soot off myself?
Rubbing or scrubbing dry soot grinds it deeper into the fibers and can smear it into a permanent stain. Soot is oily and spreads easily, so DIY scrubbing often makes the damage worse. It's best to leave the rug undisturbed and let us dust it properly first, then wash it, at our plant, which we'll pick up free anywhere in DFW.
What's the difference between restoring and replacing a fire-damaged rug?

Does char or scorching mean my rug is ruined?
